Didn't know they were in there. . .
I didn't know that Irvine Welsh played Mikey Forrester in Trainspotting. Also, Kelly Macdonald should be in more movies--in fact, she's in Finding Neverland. While I knew the Terence Stamp and Hugo Weaving were in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, I DID NOT realize that Guy Pearce was in it as well.

Interestingly enough, after writing about Toni Collete the other day, VH1 Classic ran the video for ABBA's Fernando with Muriel's Wedding footage in it.

Also interesting is the rate your professors site I was told about the other day.

Oh yeah, will I EVER get to finish The Believer? Also didn't know Summer Phoenix was in SLC Punk! as well.

have you found the australian section of your video library? :)
this has got me thinking... here are a couple of australian film recommendations you might be interested in watching if you can track them down:
- proof
hugo weaving, russell crowe
amusing little "bizarre love triangle" drama. hugo weaving is fantastic as a blind man with a few issues :)

- romper stomper
russell crowe
disturbing skinhead flick. i don't think it's as good as the NZ film, once were warriors (with temura morrison), but worth a look if you get can track it down.

- the sum of us
jack thompson, russell crowe
another amusing little drama about the relationship between father and gay son.

- ghosts of the civil dead
nick cave
very creepy film about a maximum security prison gone wrong.

- dogs in space
michael hutchence
drama about an inner city melbourne share house with a fantastic late 70s post-punk soundtrack.

- mad max
mel gibson
i'm kinda assuming you've seen this one already but just in case...

- cosi
toni collette, rachel griffiths
comedy about the staging of mozart's cosi fan tutti by a group of sydney mental patients.

- children of the revolution
judy davis, sam neill, rachel griffiths, geoffry rush
comedy about an australian woman who gets pregnant after spending the night with stalin.

- the cars that ate paris
directed by peter weir
cheesy 70s small-town horror film

- razorback
directed by russell mulcahy (who i think is better known for directing duran duran film clips than films)
80s shlock horror about a vicious wild pig in the australian outback

Re: have you found the australian section of your video library? :)

It's been FOREVER since I've seen Dogs in Space. I have good, if foggy, memories of the time watching it. Yup, I've seen Mad Max, also a LONG time ago.

Missed The Cars that Ate Paris on one of the satellite channels a few months ago. Wanted to see it. Romper Stomper rings a bell, but I haven't seen them. I need to search for all the rest of them as well.

Oh yes ratemyprofessor.com is good. There is also ratemyteacher.com that covers junior high and high school. They had some interesting things to say about my b/f's mother, a math teacher.

Wow, I'm WAY behind, I'd never heard of either.

Too busy with Goth or Not. ;)
