At the office, and then onto other things
So, here I am back at work, getting PCs ready by bagging them and such. I'll be shutting down my office PC and taking it home with me this time. I am also taking two little fans home with me. I've picked up all the pictures in my normal office, as well as (I know this is silly), all of my Magic the Gathering cards.

Yesterday Rachel and I traveled to Lowe's in Winter Haven to get plywood. All that was left was 5/8" siding, so we took it. It was thirty dollars a sheet, so we only got four. Four is better than none. We also bought a hammer drill, TapCon concrete screws, leather gloves, a kit to drill the TapCons in, and a couple of other things I can't remember. All the gas stations either had very long lines, or no gas at all. I will have to go out and see about getting some somewhere, but have no idea where.

After getting home and unloading our Lowe's purchases and eating a quick dinner, we left home again for Wal-Mart. Amazingly enough, it wasn't nearly as insane as I thought it would, and while there was no bread to be found anywhere, everything else (except size 2 diapers) we needed was pretty well stocked. I was in desperate need of a restroom, and so left Rachel in line. When I returned, she was in desperate need to get away from the guy who was talking to her about how all this Hurricane Frances stuff is just like the government and welfare benefits. Talk about whiskey tango foxtrot? to the nth degree. Poor Rachel tried to get him to go to another line by making the observation of how much more quickly the other check out lines were moving. I was more direct and just moved our cart in the middle of his sentence. Rude? Yes, but I could tell Rachel was a bit perturbed about it.

We got home, got the kids to bed (thank God our niece Nicole took care of them for some five hours total while we were out!), and I got myself cleaned up. Netflix sent us Taking Lives, Case of Evil (the USA Network Sherlock Holmes movie), and Cold Mountain, so we watched Taking Lives.

I almost got into Bully on IFC, but ended up going to sleep.

This morning I had irritated sinuses and a bit of a sore throat, and Abby walked into the room whispering to me that she doesn't feel well. Rachel, good that she is, had made a point to buy medicine for us last night.
