Seems like a theme. . .
Many parents unwilling to cut kids loose.

Not nearly the quality of the previous mentioned Twixter article, though.

I've been on that campus... what amused me most about it was how the bat-house, Lake Alice (famous for it's large and numerous gaters) and the pre-school/daycare are all within sight of each other (but not main campus) and it's the pre-school that has the chain-link fences, heh!

I didn't know you'd been in the UF area.

yeah, just once to take my daughter's aunt to college years back. Her grandmother was the administrative assistant to the dean so she chose to go there :) It was fun and the only time I've been to FL, I fear! Someday I'll go back, 'cause there is so much more to see! (I fell in love with St. Augestine... and now that I'm a little more in tune with energies I'd LOVE to go back and see what I could 'feel' out!)

What I also thought was curious about the Twixter piece was how these 'helicopter parents' are what really created this generation of kids afraid to pick a sandwich. I think the boomers secretly love it, because the longer their kids are 'young,' the longer they think they stay young. It's sad.

I know! I'd like to think that when Jonothan and Abby get older, they'll be able to stand up on their own two feet, you know?
